Lusaka, Zambia

About This Mission Trip

Dates: August 9-21, 2018
Deadline: January 1, 2018 (airfare must be reserved by this date)

Zambia is an impoverished Christian nation located in South Central Africa. The climate is tropical, but due to its elevation, it is dry and arid most of the year and rainy during the remaining months. The population averages around 12,935,000 people and 690,000 of those are orphaned children due to HIV/Aids, malaria, and other preventable diseases. With these kinds of numbers, Zambia is no doubt a country that deserves the attention of Missions Possible and its missionary teams.

Project Samuel is Relationships for Christ’s youth revitalization initiative in Zambia Africa. The mission of Project Samuel is to raise young leaders within their country so that they can one day change their world around them. In addition, Project Samuel operates as a community center, were men and women from the surrounding villages can come and receive skills training in both secular and religious fields of study. Project Samuel works towards bettering the lives of the children and the community around them so that one day, Zambia will be an international port for the message of Christ throughout all of Africa.

While in Zambia, Mission Possible teams will be located primarily at Project Samuel in rural Zambia, but will spend some time in Lusaka, the capital city. Most of the ministry is done within a one hour drive of the project. Accommodations are in the Missions House, a four bedroom home that sleeps up to nine team members. There will also be a couple days set aside for team members to experience an African photo safari and a trip to Victoria Falls, one of the seven natural wonders of the world. We are sure that you will enjoy every moment of your mission’s trip, so don’t hesitate to get your application in as soon as possible. Space for this trip is strictly limited.
